Colorful Slime
Game Design
This Project is one of the 3-week long student projects for Gameplay and Prototyping class at RIT. For this particular project, platformer, I handled the game design and implement my level design in Unity while collaborating with fellow programmers and a producer. In the design documentation, you can find my thoughts on the core game system as well as the level design intent.
The game takes place in a slime world where all the slimes have their own color and they will glow in such light. Like real RGB lights, different colors when combined will display new colors. White light only appears when Red, Green, and Blue lights are combined, and white slimes are very rare in this world. The core game mechanic derives from color manipulation based on additive color theory.

Our protagonist (P) is a rare white slime, but it also has the power to absorb the light of slimes it touches and change its own color. Usually all the white slimes live together at the top of the mountain in the slime world, but one day P lost its way as it pursued a firefly. It does not know this place, and it needs to find her way back to its family. (where the game begins) There are various mechanisms that require P to be in specific colors to activate.
